A resolved CFD-DEM-IBM algorithm is proposed for elaborate numerical description of water entry process. Discretized on fixed Cartesian grids, the Navier-Stokes equations are adopted to describe complex fluid behaviors. The motion solid bodies and their interactions modeled by discrete element method (DEM). immersed boundary (IBM) applied track boundaries undergoing drastic movement a series Lagrangian points, which fluid-solid interaction forces derived according velocity conditions. free surface captured using improved conservation level set exhibits remarkable accuracy mass property. partitioned scheme where several iterations required employed realize tightly coupled system. Shown be fully detailed resolution phase could captured, allows among heterogeneous fields with convincing accuracy. Several cases performed demonstrate reliability whose results in good accordance established data. Once validated, approach mimic multiple bodies, particles settling stratified conducted afterwards reveal versatility more general problems.
